Membership applications now closing for all categories.

In 2010 we planned to recruit 25 new members to fill vacancies and this process is just about complete. We will still accept applications for all categories but they must be received by Tuesday 10th August, with any applications after that date being processed in January 2011.

This year our fee is reduced substantially to €6,000(including the 2010 subscription and all other costs) for an Ordinary Member and at €5,000 for a five day package.

As you will see our fees are competitive with other clubs but as we are concerned that too many applications would create difficulties accessing timesheets as has been seen recently in other clubs we have capped our intake.

We are now also accepting applications for new members as Juniors (10-18 years) and Intermediates (18-25 years).

If you are over 65 years we are accepting applications without an entrance fee with an applicant only paying the respective subscription in that category.

For full details contact the office at 0404 68168 or by email at info@blainroe.com

When creating this fine golf course a stunning piece of land was used, with sea views from all 18 holes. This very enjoyable and challenging parkland course carries the prestigious Hawtree & Son design signature and is recognised as one of the finest courses on the East Coast since its inception in 1978.The Hawtree Company in business since 1912 are credited with nearly 200 golf course designs worldwide in that time and we are proud of the work they have done here. In the last decade a total of €2.5m has been spent improving and refining this locally renowned course.

With a Par 72 length of 6175 meters (6800 yards) the course is always exceptionally well maintained and offers an interesting variety of holes with the 14th played over the sea from a cliff promontory, probably being the feature followed by a testing par 3, the 15th which was part of a re-design of all greens and tees to USGA championship standard which re-opened in 2005.

The modern Clubhouse, overlooking a private beach, assures visitors a warm welcome and has full bar and catering facilities. A fully stocked Professional shop run by PGA pro John McDonald also offers club, trolley and motorised buggy hire.

Attractive Wicklow Town with its harbour, pubs and restaurants, hotels and guesthouses, is just 3.5km along the coast, and is the ideal base from which to play Blainroe and other nearby courses.
